Whenever we plan a trip to a new destination, the first thing we do is to search for the places to visit in that particular location. When it comes to Maldives, the situation is very different. Usually, you would book for a 3-6 days stay in a resort in Maldives. When you do this, you are received by the resort representative at the Velana International Airport and then taken to the resort on a speed boat or sea plane.
There are some resorts which are near to Male’, the capital of Maldives, arrange a day trip to Male’ where there are some places which has great historical significance, some places like the local market and so on. There are many people who would want to visit Male’ to do some shopping or even to understand the local culture.
I had done a video on moving around in Male’ more than a year back. Lots of things have changed, so thought of making a new video covering most of the popular places to visit in the Maldives capital city.
Sunrise from the Sinemale’ Bridge
I woke up early yesterday, and took a cab from Hulhumale’ where I live to other end of Sinamale’ Bridge. I wanted to start with Sinamale’ bridge which is a new addition to the places to visit in Male’.
You will find many reaching the bridge before the sunrise and some jogging to and fro from the Male’ side. You cannot cross the airport side of the bridge as of now as a pedestrian due to security reasons.
