My recent Andaman tour of 9 days has given me lots of experiences which I thought of sharing with others so that they can be well prepared before they travel or even plan their Andaman Vacations.

Traveling to Andaman

The best mode to travel to Andaman would be to take flight. You have options to fly from Chennai, Bangalore or Kolkata. I traveled from Bangalore on GoAir which I paid about INR 12K for my return ticket, but I booked about 3 months before the travel date.

Best Time for Vacations in Andaman Islands

The best time to plan your Andaman tour would be between October and March. The weather would be pleasant so that you can travel between the islands more and enjoy water sports.

Andaman Tour Package Cost

There are many tour operator, but I would suggest Experience Andamans. All my trips inside Andamans starting from picking me from the Veer Savarkar International Airport to dropping me back to the airport.

Places to Visit – Andaman Islands

There are good number of places to visit in Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Other than Port Blair, you can visit places like Ross Island, Neil Island, Long Island, Diglipur, Ross & Smith Island, etc

Places to Visit in Nicobar Islands

You are not allowed to visit any Nicobar Islands, so don’t get confused.

Important things to keep in mind for your Andaman Trip

  • Mobile Connectivity – The best thing would be to get a local BSNL connection as soon as you reach Port Blair. Airtel or any other connection does not work well there.
  • Early Sunrise and Sunset – In Andamans, you will notice early sunrise (4:40 am) and early sunset (around 5:00 pm)
