Recent attack by the Shiv Sena on Shahrukh’s statement related to the backing of Pakistani cricketers at the IPL and making remark that Mumbai is for all Indians. Few weeks back Sachin and Mukesh Ambani had the same experience. Even recently Rahul Gandhi was also targeted for some statements he had made related to the 26/11 Mumbai attack.

If Shahrukh does not takes back his statement his latest release “My Name is Khan” will be disrupted by violence (due to release on 12th Feb) . They have removed the posters of this movie. Should Shahrukh apologize like Karan Johar had done for using the word Bombay instead of Mumbai. Are we Indians first or do we have to say the district we come from first then the state and then the Country. We all represent India and Mumbai is in Maharashtra and Maharashtra is in India.

Sachin Issue

The cricketer has been attacked by Bal Thackeray for saying he is an Indian first and then a Maharashtrian. In an editorial in his party’s mouthpiece, on Monday morning, Thackeray said Tendulkar should stick to playing cricket. He also declared Sachin’s been "run-out on the Marathi pitch." [Source: NDTV]

Sena Chief, Bal Thackeray

"You have played like a king and become a multi-millionaire, no one has issues with that. But at a press conference, you said you are proud of being Marathi but are an Indian first. This has hurt Marathi people."

What’s wrong in Sachin’s statement, I also saw that press conference. How will it Marathi people? Balasaheb should understand that he is an Indian first and then a Maharashtrian or a Hindu or a something else.

Speaking in Hindi was the reason Jaya Bachchan was harassed. Amitabh Bachchan had to apologize for this or they will be not allowed to live in Mumbai in piece.

Mukesh Ambani Issue

“You (Ambani) are welcome to carry on business, but don’t meddle with Mumbai and the Marathi manoos.”

I don’t find any justifications for such kind of acts by these Sena Father and sons. They are behaving as if they are the people who created Mumbai and only Maharashtrians have the right. Wake up guys, we are living in India and any Indian citizen can come and go from Mumbai. No body in India can take over the control and decide what should happen in Mumbai and who should talk what. Every citizen has to express his view and its not a crime to be a celebrity. Shahrukh who is the owner of a team participating in the IPL and he has every right to give such a statement and I support him on this statement. I would say all Mumbaikars should be with him in this matter and give him full support. Sena guys should understand that Mumbai became Mumbai not just because of Mumbaikars, its contribution by many Indians from different parts of India.

Enough of Father sons Gooda Raj, wake up Mumbaikars, set an end to this. They are up to violence, destroying public properties, they are not growing Mumbai, but destroying it with this arrogant behavior. They are wasting time in such non-sense, may be trying to show that they care for Mumbai, but I feel its foolishness and other Mumbaikars should also understand that the stand of Shiv Sena is not justified in any way.

Threat – Unless the statement is withdrawn by SRK, the Shiv Sena cannot give any guarantee that the film will be released peacefully.

Shahrukh’s Latest Statement – “I apologize to Karan Johar, Kajol and all the business partners who are involved in the making of this movie”, I do not feel that I have said anything wrong and its my view and I have every right to express my view.

The whole country is with SRK in this issue. I see Twitter Trending on this topic now. Where are we standing, we say Australia is Racist, but such incidents tells no we are worse than Australia. The Government of Maharashtra should take this issue very seriously, give proper security to Shahrukh, sue the culprits, take legal action against the threatening statements done by the Sena Chief in Saamna
