I have been using Windows Live Writer in Windows which is an excellent blogging tool. Recently I got a MAC and I found an excellent tool called ECTO which has almost the same features of Windows Live Writer. I am still learning all the features, but for sure, its a good tool. Its not free, but you can download the trail and try it if your are using MAC.
